LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) will hold two informational public meetings on May 8 in Lawrence, Mich. dealing with Consumers Energy Company’s plan for early termination of its power purchase agreement with Entergy Nuclear Palisades, LLC and the potential for financial securitization (Case No. U-18250).
At the meetings, the MPSC will inform the public about its role, the timeline and the administrative process to be followed in the above-mentioned proceeding. A public comment period on Case No. U-18250 will also take place.
The two meetings will take place at the Van Buren Conference Center, located at 490 S. Paw Paw St., in Lawrence. The first meeting will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The second meeting, which will cover the same material, is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
All three MPSC commissioners will participate and an administrative law judge will preside at the public meeting. Subsequently, a transcript of the public meeting will be filed in the docket for Case No. U-18250.
